Country, control, and empire – like all fallacies – are ephemeral. What matters is the conquest of the turmoiled mind. Conquer your mind, and your thoughts will give you the world. Try to conquer the world, and your thoughts will give you your turmoiled mind.
Inevitably, you spread your own mind – and so it’s nature – on to others. This manifest-destiny of mental expansionism depends on the brains beneath the crown. Choose your thoughts wisely and your conquests gravely. Rule with an iron mind and a soft fist.

I tend to see consciousness as not limited to the brain. As some philosophers and theologians would say, I have reason to believe. But alas, this kind of science is not quite as easily shared as say, turning on a light switch.
