Numbers and mathematical relationships can only be a vague model or representative of reality, as infinite precision would be required along with accounting for every thing for our defined variables to be true to reality in a contrived mathematical model.
Even an idealized quantum computer cannot fathom reality. So, we must accept math as a purely mental construct, respecting it as a part of our suite of awesome empirical tools, rather than some direct measure or framework of super-humanistic reality. Mathematics is part of the universe by our invention and wielding, not surely embedded throughout the universe proper. We only know it exists where mathematical minds exist.
