How to Be[a]Friend

When I have life, I have no strife
Kiss b’bye no wife, hear no gripe

Just ripe as a summer wind
It’s time to transcend

Bittersweet is the end
Spill tears, won’t pretend

Pretend to be a friend?
I am a friend

Can’t pretend my friend
I am your friend
Til the proverbial end

A friend I’ll not offend
Just defend, until the end

A friend I’ll tend
A friend to send a lend

A lending hand

Understand

My hands understand a friend

  1. Your poems are excellent! They could be songs and they are even more than that. I enjoy them very much. They are clever, witty and wise.
